Telephone Standby:
Both locations: All jurors are on “standby” and should report to the designated Cattaraugus County Building when instructed to do so by means of a recorded message. Please report promptly at the time indicated in the message. The telephone call-in numbers are (716) 938-9111 ext: 2383. Rotary phone users call (716) 938-6008.
Parking:
The main parking lot for the County Building in Little Valley is in the front of the building. There is also parking available in the back parking lot, however, YOU MUST ENTER THE BUILDING THROUGH THE FRONT ENTRANCE. Please do not park in posted areas. There is also designated handicap parking at the side of the building in Little Valley. There is a parking lot at the site of the County Building in Olean. The Olean site has designated handicap parking spaces in front of the building.
Absence/Emergency:
If an illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call our office at (716) 938-9111, ext. 2383.
Court Hours:
Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Court Security:
Magnetometers and hand held scanners are in place at each Court location and jurors are not exempt from the screening process. Weapons or dangerous instruments of any kind are prohibited in court buildings. Your cooperation and patience is appreciated in this effort to keep our facilities safe.
Meals:
At the Little Valley location there is a snack/lunch counter and there is one restaurant in town. At the Olean location there are restaurants and fast food establishments within a mile of the courthouse in Olean. You can also bring your own lunch at either location. No food or drink is allowed in the courtrooms.
Phone Access:
In Little Valley a pay phone is located on the first floor in the lobby. In the Olean building pay phones are located on the 1st and 2nd floor in the lobby areas.
Wi-Fi Access:
Courts in Little Valley and Olean have free Wi-Fi access available to the public.
Verification of Attendance:
Jurors will be checked in each day they are present. An attendance verification form is available to all jurors and is required by most employers for payroll purposes. The verification form is available at the Commissioner of Jurors office.
