General Information
Telephone Standby:
All trial jurors are on standby and report to County, Supreme and City Courts only when instructed to do so by means of a recorded message. The standby telephone number is (315)782-9195.
Parking:
Supreme Court - Available in the Stone Street lot. The City of Watertown does NOT PERMIT Supreme Court jurors to park in the Municipal Lot. CARS WILL BE TICKETED.
County Court - Available in the Stone Street lot, the Tallmadge lot or the Globe MiniMall lot.
City Court - Available at the rear of the Municipal Building.
Absence/Emergency:
If you are unable to report at any time during your jury term due to illness or emergency, please telephone the Commissioner of Jurors office at 785-3049 as soon after 8:30 a.m. as possible.
Court Hours:
Courts normally operate from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a lunch recess usually from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Court Security:
Security is present in all courtrooms. Weapons of any kind and sharp or dangerous instruments, including scissors and pocket knives, are prohibited. Photo ID is required for Supreme Court Jurors. Cell phones are prohibited in the Court Complex.
Meals:
Jurors are responsible for meals. Jurors may bring their own lunch.
Supreme Court - a snack bar is located on the 2nd floor.
County Court and City Court - several restaurants are available within walking distance.
Verification of Attendance:
An attendance certificate is available to all jurors, and can be obtained from the Court Attendant or the Commissioner of Jurors office. If you require the time you report and are dismissed, please obtain the form from the Court Attendant.
