All of our Central Jury Rooms are WiFi capable (wireless remote).

 

General Information

Telephone Standby:
All jurors have been summoned on telephone standby. Your number has been randomly picked for you to serve at this court and your location cannot be changed.

Parking:
There is no designated parking for jurors. Public transportation is recommended. Public parking lots are available in Kew Gardens and Long Island City locations. Private parking lots are available in Jamaica. Parking fees are not reimbursed.

Absence/Emergency:
If an illness or emergency prevents you from reporting, please call the Central Jury location to which you are assigned. (See above-referenced telephone numbers) For information concerning court closings, listen for radio announcements; call 1-888-711-JURY; 1-800-NYJUROR; or access the website at www.nyjuror.gov.

Court Hours:
Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with a lunch hour and breaks during the day. Court sessions rarely continue after 5:00 p.m., except when juries are deliberating.

Court Security:
Magnetometers are in place at the main entrance of the courthouse and jurors are not exempted from the screening process. Weapons or dangerous instruments of any kind are prohibited from court buildings. Your cooperation is appreciated in this effort to keep our facility safe.

Meals:
All meals are your responsibility. Restaurants and fast food chains are in the area. (Vending machines with snacks and soda are available in Jamaica, only.) Glass bottles are not permitted in the building. Lunch and dinner are furnished to deliberating jurors.

Verification of Attendance:
Your attendance will be verified each day. If you are assigned to a case, your attendance will be taken in the courtroom to which you are assigned. If you are not assigned to a case, your attendance will be verified in the Central Jury Room.

Queen Division of Jurors: Civil Court, 89-17 Sutphin Blvd, Jamaica 11435 (Rm 244). By car: Van Wyck Exwy to Hillside Ave exit, go east on Hillside to Sutphin, then south on Sutphin, two blocks to the Civil Courthouse. (Limited parking)
By subway: E train to Sutphin/Archer Ave station, go north two blocks on Sutphin. Or, F train to Sutphin Blvd station, go south two blocks to courthouse. By bus: Q20A, Q20B, Q43, & Q44 stop in front of courthouse.

Jamaica Central Jury: Same as above (Rm 173).

Kew Gardens Central Jury: Borough Hall, 120-55 Queens Blvd, Kew Gardens 11424. By subway: E or F train to Kew Gardens/Union Tpke station. By bus: Q10, Q37, Q46, Q60 or Q74.

Queens County Grand Jury: Borough Hall, 120-55 Queens Blvd, Kew Gardens 11424. By subway: E or F train to Kew Gardens/Union Tpk station. By bus: Q10, Q37, Q46, Q60 or Q74.

Long Island City Central Jury: Criminal Court, 25-10 Court Square, L.I.C. 11101 (intersection of Jackson & Thomson Avenues). By subway: E or V train to 23rd St/Ely Ave, or the 7 train to 45th Rd/Court Square, or the G train to Court Square. By bus: Q19A & Q39.
