1.) Deaf Jurors
- We are proud of the record of participation of
the deaf
as jurors in the State Courts in Monroe County.
Contact us ahead - We ask that every juror who needs the
assistance of an ASL interpreter contact the jury office as soon
as
you receive your summons. We will need lead time to arrange
for
an interpreter which could require a change in your date of
service.
After we have confirmed arrangements a special jury
summons
will be generated by our computer system and mailed to
you
about 4 weeks prior to your date of service.
2.) Hard of Hearing - Assistive Listening
For persons who need assistive listening devices we
have both
a pocket talker which provides amplification and
infra-red
systems in some courtrooms. We suggest you contact us
ahead to
determine compatibility.
3.) Handicapped
Parking
The best locations for handicapped parking
access are found on
the lower level of the Civic Center parking
garage.
