Grand Jury Summons
All jurors who have been summoned for Grand Jury were
randomly picked from the petit jury pool. You cannot
volunteer for Grand Jury service.
Parking:
There is no designated parking for jurors. Public transportation
is recommended. Public parking lots are available, however,
parking fees are not reimbursed.
Absence/Emergency:
If an illness or emergency prevents you from reporting,
please call the designated telephone number provided to you
upon selection. For information concerning court closings,
listen for radio announcements; call 1-800-NYJUROR;
1-888-711-JURY; or access the website at www.nyjuror.gov.
Court Hours:
Court normally operates from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with a
lunch hour and breaks during the day. Court sessions may
continue after 5:00 p.m.
Court Security:
Magnetometers are in place at the main entrance of the
courthouse and jurors are not exempted from the screening
process. Weapons or dangerous instruments of any kind are
prohibited from court buildings. Your cooperation is appreciated
in this effort to keep our facility safe.
Meals:
All meals are your responsibility. Restaurants and fast food
chains are in the area. Glass bottles are not permitted in the building.
Verification of Attendance:
Your attendance will be verified each day. Insure that your
attendance is taken daily.
